New Board Officers Elected

CLEVELAND. Senior Transportation Connection of Cuyahoga County elected new Board Officers at the September 20, 2006 Board of Directors meeting.

Joseph M. Cicero, Mayor of Lyndhurst, Ohio was elected Chair; Lois K. Goodman of Work and Family Consulting Group, Co-Chair; Mitchell Balk, President of Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation, Treasurer; and Susan Schwarzwald, Director of Planning and Programming for the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, Secretary.

The Senior Transportation Connection (STC) of Cuyahoga County is designed to be the centralized coordinating unit for senior transportation services in Cuyahoga County. The STC’s mission is to provide comprehensive, efficient and affordable transportation for senior adults in the County. Currently operational in 13 communities, the STC operates a centralized call center services for scheduling rides and managing dispatch of vehicles. In addition the STC supports developing Designated Service Coordinators (DSCs) that serve as the primary point of contact for providers, and facilitates the development of the transportation services provided by coordinated local municipal governments and non-profit agencies.
